EL RANCHO DE MI HERMANO

Sunset in the English Channel, originalmente cargada por nunca morir.

Mi hermano, el medico,
Elemental sencillo,

MY BROTHER'S RANCH

My brother the doctor
Elemental and simple,
He bought in Coconucos a ranch of illusions

Built on bamboos,
It is white as chalk
While the morning light

Comes through its door and windows
It's looked after by a magestic hill,
Left standing when the immense mountains

Ran away from the deluge and the hand of God
My brother's ranch
Elemental and simple like his heart

Is full of corners and flowers
Tanned by the sun and age
Rich and full of enchantment

San Andres- Colombia

San Andres- Colombia, originalmente cargada por nunca morir.

A turquoise sea
Hovering around the island
Beautiful and tranquil

Brings to my memory
Those times when
I’ve been happy

As the seagulls fly about
Their cries rushing through the wind
And dying in the water

I hope to see you again
Swimming in the currents
Of my soul
-----------------------------------------------

El mar infinito
Azul y tranquillo

Me recuerda de otros tiempos
Cuando fui feliz

Mientras que las gaviotas
Vuelan en el cielo

Y sus gritos mueren en el agua
Yo te quiero ver

Nadando en las
Corrientes de mi alma

San Andres

San Andres, originalmente cargada por nunca morir.

After an hour and a half in the plane
We arrived at San Andres

An island lost in the Caribbean Sea.
Avoiding the holes on the floor

Our taxi careered along the road
Showing us a trillion sights and sounds

The island greeted us with big waves
Beaches full of yellow sand, and noisy streets.

Our hotel appeared amidst the busy traffic
Running all the time to unknown destination

Dressed in a smart uniform
And wearing his best Caribbean smile,

The porter led us to the hotel lobby,
Where a young woman with a short skirt filed her nails

"How can I help you?"
She asked in a Spanish accent

Reminiscent of those conquistadors
Roaming the Caribbean Sea centuries ago

After we told her our business she frowned.
"You have to wait for the room to be vacated," she said.

We had to wear blue wrist bands
To identify ourselves

To the rest of the tourists
In search of happiness

Sitting by a fountain
We talked about the trip,

The clock on the wall
Ticking the minutes

Then we got the keys to open a big room
At the end of a corridor

With a kitchen and toilet
Crashing against the wall

The sea spilled drops
Of salty water by the balcony

Bringing noise to our world
On going to the restaurant

Lunch waited for us.
Blue waves caressing the beach

And we had pasta with rice and pudding
Before refreshing our day

With a cold glass of juice
We went to see the town

As a bride and her groom
Tied the knot amidst the sand, sea and sky

Wearing a white dress
She promised to love him

The sun shining all around
They kissed by the sea

Claiming their happiness
"Buy my coconut biscuits," a man said.

After buying a cocada,
I took his picture

Balancing a basket on his head like superman
I believed in anything at that moment.

On walking along the street
We found a shop full of bras, pants, and other things.

I wanted to look better
The spirit of the island

Getting to my heart and senses
Warm breeze caressed my face

Leaving the sky full of clouds
While the sun disappeared in the sea
